Trauma-Informed Youth Mental Health Workshops (Ages 12–17)
Rise Through Lived Experience – Practical Tools, Real Healing
Emotional Resilience & Wellbeing Workshops for Schools, PRUs, Youth Services & Alternative Education
Fynix Project delivers trauma-informed youth mental health workshops designed to support young people aged 12–17 in understanding their emotions, processing difficult experiences, and building practical emotional resilience.
Workshops are designed to improve emotional regulation, increase engagement, and support safer communication within educational and youth settings.
Our sessions provide safe, structured spaces where young people can explore how emotions work, why they sometimes feel overwhelming, and how to respond in healthier, more regulated ways. Workshops are relatable, age-appropriate, and grounded in lived experience.
We work across a wide range of youth settings, including:
- Secondary schools, colleges and sixth forms
- Pupil Referral Units (PRUs) and alternative education provision
- Youth offending services and mentoring programmes
- Youth clubs and community groups
- Sports teams and grassroots sports clubs
- Scouts, Guides, Brownies and uniformed youth organisations
- PTAs and parent-led community initiatives
- Youth charities and local authority youth services
Workshops are delivered across the North West of England, including Liverpool, Manchester, Cheshire, Warrington and surrounding areas, with online delivery available UK-wide.
Why Early Intervention in Youth Mental Health Matters
Adolescence is a critical stage for emotional development. Without the right understanding and tools, intense emotions can be misunderstood, internalised, or expressed in ways that lead to conflict, disengagement from education, behavioural difficulties, or longer-term mental health challenges.
Our workshops focus on early intervention, equipping young people with practical emotional regulation skills before difficulties escalate and patterns become embedded.
Rather than delivering abstract theory or clinical language, we provide grounded, lived-experience-led education that helps young people:
Understand how their nervous system responds to stress
- Recognise emotional triggers early
- Use simple grounding and calming techniques
- Develop emotional literacy and self-awareness
- Build confidence in expressing emotions safely
As emotional awareness increases, young people often feel more confident communicating concerns in their lives, including worries about safety, well-being, or personal challenges, to trusted adults around them.
While Fynix Project does not provide therapy or crisis support, our workshops strengthen existing safeguarding pathways by encouraging healthy communication and helping young people recognise when it is appropriate to seek support from teachers, youth workers, parents, or designated safeguarding leads.
By embedding these tools early, settings can support improved emotional regulation, increased engagement, and a safer, more responsive environment for young people.
